WELCOME BACK!

We’re still here, still standing strong, still united as a FAMILY!  2025 is shaping up to be quite a year!  Never in the history of our country AND our world have we experienced the events that are unfolding.  Information is coming at us at the Speed of Change, and things change faster than we could ever have imagined.  Technology is a rising tide.  What we once thought were unshakable truths and foundational beliefs are changing before our very eyes, ears, and hearts.  And yet, somehow, we still stand strong and reach out to each other for love and support.

Nevertheless, it fills our hearts with joy to gather once again—this time to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone: the 60th Anniversary of the United Martin Families reunion.  For six decades, through every generation, we have kept this tradition alive—celebrating our heritage, honoring our elders, and embracing the new branches that continue to grow our family tree.

What began as a small backyard picnic organized by ________________ in 1966 has blossomed into a beautiful tradition that connects cousins across states, preserves our shared history, and strengthens the bonds that make us who we are.

As we plan to come together in 2026, let us remember the shoulders we stand on—the ancestors whose love, sacrifice, and faith built the foundation we enjoy today. Let us also look ahead, renewing our commitment to pass this legacy forward with pride, unity, and love.

Throughout the 2026 reunion weekend, we have planned time for you to reconnect, reminisce, and make new memories. Our agenda will encourage you to laugh loudly, hug tightly, take plenty of pictures, and never forget how blessed we are to call each other family.

And with that strength and support, the Hampton Chapter family steps BOLDLY into 2021 with hope, gratitude, and joy and extend a cordial invitation to board the MARTIN LOVE TRAIN as we travel toward our 53rd family

The Hampton Chapter, ably led by President Elemuel “Lem” Watts, has planned a reunion that incorporates the warm spirit of family, the beat of throwback R&B music, and a variety of social activities that includes something for every age group!  Out of necessity, we’re gathering in the virtual world that we’ve all come to know and thrive in.  It will be different, and we’re excited to bring our best to you — to try new ideas, experiment with new ways to connect as family, and to use technology wherever we can.

New this year is the Martin Family Video Vault featuring 90-second Family Memory videos that will capture stories of the rich legacy of the Martin clan.  Visit the “Martin Family Video Vault” page for instructions on how to record your Memory Video and upload it to the website.

What’s NOT new this year is the strong spirit of family that is woven into all that we do and all that we are.  The Hampton Chapter welcomes you on our virtual trip, and invite you to engage, be inspired, and join the F-U-N on the Martin Family Love Train.
